MOROCCAN REPATTERNING

As the 2016 recipient of the Avi Geshundeit Travelling Research Fellowship, I was given the opportunity to plot my own course of independent international study. I chose to focus on Moorish Architecture, studying the intersection of Arabic Architecture and European Architecture. I travelled throughout Spain and Morocco, visiting famous historical sites, but also focusing on the general city fabric around those sites. The richness of patterning inspired me to take my architectual photography and create patterns out of the buildings and architectural elements themselves.
